First cooking class: Castel Monastero


On our last and very relaxing day at Castel Monastero we took our first of two cooking classes for the trip! 





On the menu: homemade tangiolini pasta with fresh tomato sauce and red mullet fish sautéed in capers and oregano.  

I was told to cut X's on the bottom of the tomatoes so that the skin will break more easily when we blanch them for the tomato sauce. 


By the end mom and I were pro's at shaping the tangiolini pasta. 


Mom gave it a whirl trying to flip the pasta.. we will work on that




After the cooking class we got to eat our four course meal in the restaurant below the hotel, the location was perfect.
